✅ What Are Paid Listings?
Paid listings are services that clients can purchase directly through CheckTheBooks, with payment securely held in escrow until the task is completed or the session is delivered.
There are two main pricing types you can choose from:
Per Project – for deliverable tasks such as bookkeeping, tax filing, payroll setup, or VAT submissions.
Per Month – for ongoing services such as monthly bookkeeping or payroll management.
You can also offer Consultations & Appointments, where clients can book a one-on-one session (e.g. tax consultation, accounting review, or advisory call) and pay online in advance.
Experts typically conduct these sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, or another preferred platform.
🧾 Who Can Create Paid Listings
All experts can create listings on CheckTheBooks, but only verified experts can have their purchasable services approved and visible to clients.
Verification includes checks such as:
Identity verification
Professional credentials (optional)
HMRC or supervisory registration (optional)
Once your verification is approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email and can publish purchasable services on the marketplace.
💡 Tip: Verification is valid for one year. Updating key profile details may require re-verification.

Log in to your expert account on CheckTheBooks.com.

👉 Submit a ServiceClick “List a Service” in the menu.
Choose your service category.
All categories are eligible for paid listings — simply select the one that fits your service best.Complete the listing form:
Add a clear and descriptive service title.
Write a detailed description outlining deliverables, timelines, and expectations.
Select your pricing type: Per Project or Per Month.
Set your price, duration (if applicable), and upload a relevant image.
Submit your listing for review.
💡 Tip:
For project-based services, choose “Per Project” pricing.
Example: “VAT Return Filing – £120 per project.”
For ongoing work, choose “Per Month.”
Example: “Monthly Bookkeeping – £200 per month.”
